Merchant's Lane Cafe @ Petaling Street 美真林茶馆
Hello
August, please be nice to me as July looks not really that colorful to me.
Anyhow, I do believe that sometimes you just need to force yourself to wake up
from the bed and doing some adventure, don’t giving yourself too much of
excuses at this age.
Few
days ago, I had bringing along Ms. G exploring the café around KL area as
usual. And this exploration end up in Petaling Street as she is wishing to
catch “Magikarp” from Pasar Seni MRT Station hahaha (Pokemon hit still out there indeed). This place actually do
familiar to me as here used to be Bus Hub (Apparently, now already functioning
as Pudu UTC).
So,
wouldn’t be any issue for us to walk over there, decide not to drive as
Petaling Street will be crowded with people during weekend. And the café that
we visit this round is Merchant’s Lane, a hit in Instagram after the launched
(A Great place for photography).
Apparently,
we’ve make the right choice as this old heritage building did giving us
numerous place to shoot for photo J
Owner must be very details-oriented as the inner part of the building is so
well maintain!
Another
part that we like the most would be the spaces within the place. Distance
between table with another table are in fair range. Some famous café starting
to utilized their place as much as they can by putting extra chair + table
in order to fill in people. Trust me, please visit the café during the evening,
the natural light coming in create such a nice environment that charming and inviting to having meal here.
Interesting
name and Signature dish here, Grilled salmon with two soft boil eggs, mango
based salsa and Potato house-made hash. I’m a big fans with Fish compared with
other meat, a little disappointed with the portion of fish they provided
hahaha as Am big fans of Fish.
Hongkie Beef Stew,
RM21
Personally
I like this dish as compared with the above because the way they prepared the
dish that having lots of gravy. No worry as the beef is tender and believes
that their chef cooks it for few hours. Plus point would be their Mash potato
beneath of the beef.
Rose Honey Milk, RM12
Personally
don’t really like it as the taste doesn’t differ much with milk that I drink
usually. It’s café’s signature beverage and on top of it are the flower petals
that aims to adding the flower scent.
Caramel Latte, RM13
I
strongly recommend you to order this instead, putting aside the nice artwork on
top of the coffee itself. I seldom tried out latte that is so less bitter and
finish it almost with few shots hahaha.
Speaking
further about the food, both of us will definitely visit for the 2nd
round as it worth for every dime you paid. And perhaps we may bring others
buddies as well to enjoying the meal here in nearest future.
